After watching the Michigan Wolverines escape with a win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday, three-star wideout Jamar Browder can see that Michigan needs help in the passing game.

ANN ARBOR, MI - There were five fans ejected from Michigan Stadium during the Wolverines’ 27-24 win over Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 28. The ejection numbers, provided by the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security, included four for misuse of an Mcard student identification card. If...
Postgame grades: Sifting good and bad from Michigan's 27-24 win over Minnesota
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — For the third straight week, the Michigan football team built up an early double-digit lead, won its game, but showed lapses in the second half of its eventual victory. This time, the 10th-ranked Wolverines held off Minnesota. Michigan (2-0 Big Ten, 4-1 overall) built a...
Michigan S Brandyn Hillman a heat-seaking missile: 'He's out of control sometimes!'
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — He might not be lighting up the stat sheets, but Brandyn Hillman truly burst onto the scene on Saturday in the game against Minnesota. Thrust into action with Makari Paige’s late-game injury, the second-year safety who had originally signed with Notre Dame showed his penchant for hard hitting. On Tuesday, he explained how he grew into the role. And it started all the way back to when he was young.
Toledo men's basketball to visit Michigan for charity exhibition game
The University of Toledo men’s basketball team will pay an exhibition visit to the University of Michigan on Friday, Oct. 25. The charity contest will benefit the Child and Family Life program at the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip at the Crisler Center, the exhibition will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. "I would like to thank Dusty May for the tremendous opportunity to play Michigan in a charity exhibition game," Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said. "Dusty is one of the top coaches in the country, and this game will provide us a chance to build even more chemistry in a great road environment. More importantly, we are also honored to help the Wolverines showcase the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, which is one of the top medical facilities in the nation." This will be the first time Toledo and Michigan have met in an exhibition game. In contests that count, Toledo is 6-8 all-time against Michigan, but the Wolverines have won the past four contests, including a Dec. 9, 2020, game in Ann Arbor (91-71) and a March 14, 2023, National Invitation Tournament game at the Crisler Center (90-80).
Alex Orji's teammate confident in QB's ability to 'sling it'
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football fans might be skeptical of Alex Orji’s ability to throw the ball, but his teammates know better. Of course, his teammates get to see the full complement of what Orji can do in practice. And as far as senior right guard Giovanni El-Hadi sees it, his starting quarterback can do a lot. But it’s up to the offensive line to do a better job in pass protection.
Tyler Morris on Michigan receivers: 'There's always room for improvement'
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — All offseason, there had been questions about Michigan football’s wide receiving corps, but an insistence from those inside Schembechler Hall that the group was much better than people thought. Well, through five games, the entirety of the passing game has been suspect — whether...
Michigan might need another signature win to be a College Football Playoff contender
I think water has found its level with the Michigan Wolverines through five games. This is a good team, but not a great one, and that is totally okay! The defense has personnel for days. Offensively, it may be grossly one-dimensional, but the run-first attack centered around quarterback Alex Orji and running back Kalel Mullings is wreaking havoc in Big Ten play. Just ask USC about that dynamic duo.
