Women's Volleyball drops two 5-setters to B1G foes Minnesota and Michigan
After winning their B1G home debut last week against Ohio State, the UCLA Women's Volleyball team looked to add two more wins against Minnesota and Michigan at Pauley Pavilion on Friday and Saturday, but came up short both times in 5 set heartbreakers, dropping their conference record to 1-3 and 7-6 overall. The Bruins started off on Friday night against the 12th ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Bruins fell behind quickly, losing the first two sets 21-25 and 22-25, but roared back in sets 3 and 4 by winning 25-21 and 27-25. The Bruins could not maintain that momentum, giving up 6 consecutive points in set 5 after being tied 6-all, which left them facing an insurmountable 12-6 deficit. Middle Blocker Anna Dodson had a career-best 20 kills while hitting .462, while freshman Kiki Horne and junior Grayce Olson each chipped in with 13 kills apiece. Senior setter Audrey Pak had a double-double with 54 assists and 14 digs, while junior Cheridyn Leverette had a double-double of her own with 10 kills and 16 digs.

Both Park Center soccer teams ended their regular seasons last week with a win and a loss ahead of the 2024 section tournament.
