Upcoming Public Hearing on Tree Management Along Hanson Road
The Chester Planning Board will hold a public hearing on May 22, 2024, at 7:15 PM in the Meeting Room at the Municipal Office Building, 84 Chester Street. The agenda will focus on a proposal from Eversource Energy to manage vegetation along Hanson Road. Eversource Energy plans to trim and remove trees near power lines on Hanson Road, designated as a Scenic Road, to maintain power supply safety and reliability, as per RSA 231:158. Project documents are available for public review at the Town Clerk’s Office and the Planning Board Office, and online on the Planning Board’s website. The hearing will be broadcast live on Comcast Channel 6 and streamed on the Government cablecast.tv website. Community members can contact the Planning Board Office for more information or to submit comments. Upcoming Sewer Work on Second and Third Streets Alley, April 22-26
From April 22 to 26, the City's sewer contractor will work on the storm sewer in the alley between Second and Third Streets, from Crooks to Main Avenue. The project includes installing storm laterals to the property lines of buildings where downspouts currently release water onto the ground.
