Corrine Davis won the High Jump at the Ocean League Championships! Corrine PR’d with a Jump of 4′ 11″, to take First Place!! – Atascadero High School Athletics. All coaches at Atascadero High School are invited to participate in Athletes of the Week to recognize students who were standouts at a recent competition, showing improvement at practices, or bringing a great attitude to the team. Explore New Musical Horizons: Cal Poly Hosts Transient Canvas May 30-31
The Cal Poly Music Department will host an event featuring the Boston-based duo Transient Canvas on May 30 and May 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pavilion of the Performing Arts Center. This event is part of the annual Soundings multidisciplinary productions, which showcase works by music technology and composition students, and choreography by Theatre and Dance Department students.
Support Cal Poly Students: Donate to the Professional Clothing Drive at SLO Chamber Office
Cal Poly Career Services has launched a Professional Clothing Closet Donation Drive, which will continue until May 17. This initiative invites the San Luis Obispo community to donate gently used or new professional clothing. The goal is to help students who cannot afford appropriate attire for career-related events.

Local tutoring service supports K-12 students
– Since February 2023, tutoring service MaxPotentialLearning has provided services for students ranging from assistance with mathematics and science to SAT prep work. Templeton High school senior Max Joukovski founded the business, which now has a total of five tutors who make up the team, with two other students focused on middle school mathematics help.
Templeton Middle School Enhances Tech Education with New Plastics Equipment
Templeton Middle School's Applied Engineering and Technology students will soon use new plastics technology equipment, provided by a grant from the Milwaukee Society of Plastics Engineering Education Foundation. The $4,550 grant was used to buy a new pneumatic injection molding machine, improving the school's resources.
