Teen girl catches massive blue catfish, sets Ohio record
A 15-year-old Ohio girl now holds that state’s record for a blue catfish after catching one in early April that weighed over 100 pounds. Jaylynn Parker of New Richmond caught the 101-pound, 11-ounce fish on April 7 while jug fishing on Twelve Mile Creek, a tributary of the Ohio River, in Clermont County near Cincinnati, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer and the Outdoor Writers of Ohio, which confirmed the record catch in a Saturday Instagram post.
