Join Bedford Trails Committee for Two-Hour Walk on Saturday
Everyone is invited to join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free two-hour walk around the Wilderness and York Conservation Areas at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The walk will be slow-paced. It will start and finish at the trailhead near 34 Wildwood Drive. (although the actual meet-up location is still behind the Bedford Library on Mudge Way).
‘Railroad Day’ Returning to Bedford Depot Park on Sept. 15
The Friends of Bedford Depot Park will host their second annual “Railroad Day” from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15. Like last year’s event, a variety of activities for both adults and children are planned in and around the vintage Boston & Maine Railcar and adjacent Freight House welcome center at Bedford Depot Park, located at 120 South Road at the corner of South Road and Loomis Street (the Bedford terminus of the Minuteman Bikeway). All “Railroad Day” activities will be open to the public and free of charge.
Patriots rookie WR cause for optimism — no matter the assignment
FOXBOROUGH — While rookies often ebb and flow in their first training camp, Patriots second-rounder Ja’Lynn Polk was noticeably consistent. The 6-foot-1, 203-pound wideout was usually good for a handful of catches during competitive periods at practice, and that carried over into preseason game play, too. Polk caught multiple passes in all three of New England’s exhibition games, and his best showing came in the preseason finale at Washington, snaring three passes for 46 yards despite limited work. Simply put, there were no dog days for the University of Washington Husky this summer.

At noon, 45 minutes before players were set to practice, Christian Barmore was in the Patriots locker room looking and acting like his old self.
