Park City Council Approves Enhanced Homebuyer's Incentive for Local Residents
The City Council has approved updates to the Homebuyer's Incentive in Park City. The incentive is for those who build or buy a new, single-family home within the city. Park City will provide an Initial Incentive Payment of up to $5,000, based on the home's cost. This is in addition to a 75% rebate of the City’s share of property taxes paid annually for five years.
Newton providing program to improve downtown look
NEWTON, Kan. — At Tuesday night’s meeting, the City Commission established a program to help downtown merchants and property owners improve their building façades. As recommended by the Newton Main Street Board, the program will provide a rebate of 50% of costs, up to $3,000, for eligible exterior improvements that will enhance the appearance of the downtown and the experience of residents and visitors. Eligible projects could include:

Interfaith Housing & Community Services, Inc. (Interfaith) in Hutchinson, KS administers the local funded Reno County Housing Impact Plan (RCHIP). SCKEDD, in partnership with Interfaith, provides assistance with the Reno County Housing Impact Program.
