⛳ Kooiman leads Central Christian School to regional title
HALSTEAD, Kan. — The Hutchinson Central Christian boys golf team is state bound after the Cougars won the class 1A regional title at Wedgewood Golf Course on Monday. The Cougars were led by freshman Cael Kooiman, who fired a 10-over round to claim the top individual spot. Kooiman was followed by his teammate, junior Nathan Reed, who finished 11-over. Junior Ryland Kooiman also cracked the top five with a 12-over round.

Remington Park Racetrack is preparing for a horse racing event this Saturday, featuring a full 12-race schedule with nine stakes races. The main event, the $854,775 Remington Park Futurity (RG1), is a 330-yard race for 2-year-old quarter horses from Oklahoma. Ten horses will compete, starting at 6 p.m. CDT.
