Celebrate 25 Years of Culinary Excellence at OCCI's Anniversary Event in Coos Bay
Southwestern Oregon Community College is preparing to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of its Oregon Coast Culinary Institute (OCCI). The event is scheduled for June 29, 2024, at the Bristol Event Center in Coos Bay, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. It aims to recognize the contributions of the OCCI to culinary education.
Coquille School bond measure on the ballot
The Coquille School District will ask voters at the May Primary Election to approve a $14.555 million bond measure to improve the safety and accessibility of three district schools. A Coos County student was honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarship support for the 2024-2025 academic year. Local Bunker Hill Community College Joins Newly Formed MassSkills Coalition to Boost Talent Recruitment
Governor Maura Healey has formed the MassSkills Coalition. This initiative aims to enhance talent recruitment and retention across different industries. Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a founding member of the coalition, launched at the Massachusetts Business Roundtable's Board Meeting on March 19, 2024. The coalition builds on Governor Healey's previous order promoting skills-based hiring in the state.
