Man fights police after crashing into South Side gas station
A fire broke out at a South Side gas station Thursday night after a vehicle crashed into fuel pumps. Pittsburgh Public Safety says Fire, Police and EMS were dispatched around 11:20 p.m. to the Coen gas station on E Carson Street at East 24th Street.

People along the East Coast are rallying to find Lucky, a 10-year-old Airedale Terrier mix, who went missing after a car theft in Pennsylvania.Lucky was inside a vehicle that was stolen on September 23 from a Tractor Supply Store in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. The vehicle was later involved in a high-speed chase on Interstate 95 with Sheriff's Deputies in Nash County, North Carolina.The driver, Kenneth Crider, 43, of Poolesville, Maryland, was arrested after crashing the vehicle, but Lucky was nowhere to be found. Pittsburgh man accused of robbing bank day after escaping from halfway house
A Pittsburgh man is accused of robbing a bank the day after he escaped from a halfway house. John Flick, 58, now faces 25 years in prison and a half-a-million-dollar fine after being indicted by a federal grand jury on escape and bank robbery charges. He’s accused of robbing the Dollar Bank in Dormont, the day after he used the fire escape to leave the Renewal halfway house. Flick, who reportedly got away with $51, was serving a sentence there for robbing a Brookline bank in 2021.
