New Hampshire prosecutor arrested by state police, placed on leave
A New Hampshire prosecutor was arrested on Monday for allegedly violating a domestic violence protective order, authorities announced Wednesday. Michael Schauer, 40, of Piermont, was taken into custody in connection with an investigation by uniformed patrol and the state’s detective bureau, according to New Hampshire State Police. Schauer, an assistant Grafton County attorney, faced a judge on Tuesday and was released on personal recognizance, state police said. He is currently on administrative leave, per protocol. State police didn’t share any additional details on Schauer’s arrest.
Barrington, New Hampshire, Community Honors 21-Year-Old Woman Killed on Thanksgiving Day
We are coming up on two years that Drew Ceppetelli, a beautiful, full of life 21-year-old woman from Barrington, New Hampshire's life ended far too soon. It was Thanksgiving morning and she was involved in a horrible car crash at the Portsmouth traffic circle. According to WMUR, the car she was in flipped and she later passed away at the hospital.
UNH Police Investigate Reports of Sex Assault in a Residence Hall, and Drugs in Drinks
DURHAM – University of New Hampshire police have identified a person of interest in a sexual assault case that was announced earlier Wednesday. A UNH Police Department news release said two people at UNH reported having been drugged, with one of them also reporting being raped.
