MAHOPAC, N.Y. – The Wolf Pac boys have been playing some of their best lacrosse late in the season, and that trend continued last Saturday when No. 9 seed Mahopac rolled into Harrison for a Class B out-bracket playoff game and dominated the eighth-seeded Huskies from the opening faceoff in a 13-5 victory. HARRISON- Some familiar faces returned to Harrison High School on Thursday for the Section 1 team tennis finals. Bronxville and Scarsdale looked to repeat as Section 1 champs. Demarest promotes assistant coach to head football job
Continuity and chemistry are the major themes for new Demarest football coach Rob Petrella. The 34-year-old former assistant - and chemistry teacher - at Demarest was approved as the program's new head coach by the district’s board of education on Monday night. SPARTA, NJ – The girls lacrosse season continues as they move to the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North Group 2 tournament after defeating River Dell on Wednesday. The third seed Spartans beat 14 seed River Dell 22-8. Moira Sweeney and Uma Kowalski each put nine balls in the back of the net. Brooke Weyant added three. Ava Capeci and Sophie Ku each netted two. In a season filled with ups and downs, Kinnelon has continued to stay focused and play its brand of lacrosse, guided by first-year coach John Mortimer. Coming into its first round matchup in the state tournament against 10th-seeded Ramsey, which won the title in the Independence Red Division this season, seventh-seeded Kinnelon wanted to go into Memorial Day Weekend with not only a win but an opportunity to extend its season.
