Case dismissed against man who shot girlfriend with pellet gun, causing school lockdown
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A man accused of shooting his girlfriend with a pellet gun, sparking Jackson-area schools to go into lockdown is a free man. Charges against Brian Sutton were dismissed Thursday, Oct. 17, during a preliminary examination before Jackson County District Judge Allison Bates, who, shortly after hearing testimony from the alleged victim, ruled the testimony provided did not align with the charges.

CLINTON COUNTY, MI -- One person is dead and another is hospitalized after two vehicles collided in Clinton County. According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on northbound U.S. 127 when the driver of a 2000 Buick Century crossed the median and struck a 2024 Dodge Ram at 8:34 a.m. on Thursday.
