Momentum is building for the Brewhaus Townhomes project in Quincy, with some units set to be ready for occupancy by October. The city of Quincy is providing about $210,000 for water and sewer upgrades to this 34-unit property, with hopes of finishing the entire project by next summer. Currently, work is focused on interior construction at the Jersey and 8th Street locations. Additional buildings are planned for the south side of the property.

Due to post-pandemic implications, there's been a dip in residential permit distribution. The city currently needs 400 homes this year, a number predicted to rise to 500 houses in five years and 1600 in a decade, with the intent to facilitate workforce needs.
