Local BMCC Students Excel: Heppner and Umatilla Scholars Named to 2024 All-Oregon Academic Team
Chad Doherty from Heppner and Matthew Millhaem from Umatilla, students at Blue Mountain Community College, have been named to the 2024 All-Oregon Academic Team. This honor recognizes students for their achievements in academics, leadership, and community service. The award ceremony was held at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, celebrating the top 55 students from across the state.
BMCC Secures $6,000 Grant for Laptops to Support Local Low-Income Students
Blue Mountain Community College's (BMCC) TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program has been granted $6,000 to supply laptops to its students, many of whom are from low-income backgrounds. This initiative aims to provide equal access to technology, a vital component in modern education. The laptops will be given to low-income American Indian and Alaskan Native students, facilitating their access to educational resources and online learning.
Heppner and Umatilla Scholars Chosen for Prestigious All-Oregon Academic Team
