Five hurt in Carbon County fire
LANSFORD, Pa. — Five people were hurt after flames ripped through three row homes Thursday night in Carbon County. Fire fighters were called to East Ridge Street around 10:45 p.m. Officials tell Newswatch 16 five people were inside at the time, and all five were taken to the hospital.
Pa. man dies 10 days after Poconos crash
A Pennsylvania man died 10 days after a crash in the Poconos, according to the Lehigh County coroner’s office. Rowland Matthews, 43, of Dreher Township, Wayne County, drove into a utility pole at 3:44 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, on Route 191 about a mile south of Pocono Plateau Road in Barrett Township, Monroe County, the coroner’s office said.
