The Crook County Cowgirl softball team took both ends of a doubleheader from Molalla on Friday. Although both games were played in Prineville, Molalla was the home team in game one as it was a makeup game that was originally scheduled to be played in Molalla. How exactly does Oregon’s new Class 6A football playoff formula work?
Earlier this week, the executive board of the Oregon School Activities Association accepted a proposal to tweak the Class 6A football playoffs. The move sees the Class 6A state championship bracket moving to 12 teams (down from 16 the last two years) while the Columbia Cup bracket will be made of the next 16 teams in the rankings, adjusting as leagues have a set number of playoff allocations.
