No official grand opening date for the new restaurant - which is located at 37 Holland Drive - has been announced yet, but Fuel Counter hopes to open the new location sometime in February.

GALLIPOLIS — The premiere of “American Rhapsody with The Ohio Valley Symphony” on Feb. 16 at the Colony Theatre/Restaurant in downtown Gallipolis. Guest artists from the show will be available to autograph copies of the CD and DVDs which are on sale at ArielOperaHouse.org. A new restaurant recently opened its doors in Gallipolis. On January 6, Hitched Bistro - which is a new restaurant located in Gallipolis at 3103 Centenary Rd (where Crossroad Bistro used to be) - celebrated its grand opening, according to the restaurant's social media account.
Snowville Creamery issues voluntary recall of whipping cream
POMEROY — Snowville Creamery of Pomeroy announces a voluntary recall of its 16 oz. Whipping Cream product due to a laboratory analysis that indicated this product may not have been effectively pasteurized. A total of 275 units of the affected product were distributed in Ohio (Columbus, Cleveland, and Athens) from Dec. 24 through Dec. 28, 2023. This quality issue is isolated to Whipping Cream Pints with an expiration date of Jan. 14, 2024. Snowville Creamery expects to recapture 25% of the affected product. The issue was discovered during routine product testing conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. There have been no reports of illness involving products addressed in this recall, however, individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of food-borne illness after consuming Snowville Creamery Whipping Cream with an expiration date of Jan. 14, 2024 should contact a physician immediately. If you have purchased this product, please dispose of it.
