The 414 Company in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, played host to a treasure trove of vintage finds over the weekend of April 26th and 27th, as the Hitch Lot Garden Show brought together dozens of vendors from across the region and even as far away as Texas. Organized by Brenda and Mark Kilgore of Kilgore’s Vintage & Design, the event offered a unique shopping experience for vintage home decor enthusiasts.

Excelsior Springs, MO – The Excelsior Springs Parks Foundation announced a $40,000 donation towards the development of Milwaukee Street Park during its annual Piccadilly Gala fundraiser held on April 6th. This year’s event, themed Jewels and Jeans, raised an additional $30,000 to support the Foundation’s mission of enhancing parks and recreation opportunities for Excelsior Springs residents.

The City of Excelsior Springs kicked off efforts to develop a new comprehensive plan with a community forum on Sunday, April 28th. The Planning and Pizza Session, held at the Hall of Waters, drew approximately 20 residents alongside four council members.
Excelsior Springs Walmart to Undergo ‘Million-Dollar’ Renovation
Excelsior Springs, MO – Shoppers at the Excelsior Springs Walmart located at 2203 Patsy Lane can expect a “million-dollar” facelift starting mid-July. The store will undergo a significant remodel designed to “create a more convenient and enjoyable shopping experience.” Renovations are anticipated to begin on or around July 15 and wrap up by November. The store will remain open throughout construction, with some work likely conducted overnight to minimize disruption.
No Kidding, ESHS ‘Springo’ a Success as Live Goat Prize Steals the Show
Excelsior Springs, MO–The Excelsior Springs High School Student Council, sponsored by teachers Allison Neumann and Jessica Meyer, held its semi-annual bingo fundraising event this past Monday. The first bingo fundraiser was held in the fall of 2022 and has been held each semester since then. This year’s spring bingo, or “Springo” event, raised over $2,000 for the student council, with more than 180 sets of bingo cards sold. The money raised will go towards funding student leadership opportunities, including sending members of Stuco to a student council summer camp in Fulton, Missouri.
