Boys and Girls Club of Texarkana Announce Summer Programs
The Boys and Girls Club of Texarkana is proud to announce its exciting summer programs and camps for children and teenagers. According to a press release, founded in 1860, the Boys and Girls Club has a rich history of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and teenagers. The Texarkana branch, established by The Salvation Army, was the first Boys and Girls Club in the state of Arkansas.
Texas Runoff Election Day Is Tuesday, May 28 – Early Voting Is Now
The contentious race between Texas incumbent House District 1 Representative Gary VanDeaver and challenger Chris Spencer should drive many back to the polls one more time next Tuesday, May 28. Early voting just got underway today, Monday, May 20, in Bowie County and will continue through this Friday, May 24, from 7 AM - 7 PM at the locations listed below.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced the commencement of an expansive traffic data collection effort within the Atlanta, Texas district. Starting now, residents and commuters may observe an increased presence of short-term traffic counting cameras installed across more than 2,000 different locations in the district. These devices are part of a comprehensive study aimed at gathering crucial traffic flow information and are expected to remain in position until June 27th. TxDOT advises the public to be aware of these temporary installations while traversing the district's roadways. The implementation of this project signifies TxDOT's commitment to improving future transportation infrastructure and services through detailed traffic analysis.
