Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Management held a mass casualty exercise in downtown Elizabeth City, Saturday morning. The exercise tested local agencies abilities to respond to an event involving several casualties. The drill unfolded at around 8:45 a.m. at Main and Poindexter streets when, according to the exercise scenario, a motorist drove south through a barricade at Poindexter Street and caused another vehicle with at least three occupants to crash into a building.
