A small plane from Iowa crashed in an Indiana cornfield, killing everyone onboard
ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — A single-engine plane traveling from Iowa to Indiana crashed in a central Indiana cornfield Friday, killing everyone on board, authorities said. The plane left Fort Dodge, Iowa, just after 6:45 a.m. and was projected to land at Anderson Municipal Airport, about 9:55 a.m. but crashed into a nearby cornfield, said Capt. Darwin Dwiggins of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. Dwiggins said the plane came in too high on its initial approach to the Anderson airport. “They were too high. They were told to reroute and make another approach.”

Beechwood seniors score six touchdowns in win over Dixie Heights to push record to 3-0
Four seniors on the Beechwood football team who want their final season to be something special led the Tigers to a 41-20 win over Dixie Heights on Friday in Fort Mitchell. Senior wide receiver Luke Erdman scored three touchdowns on passes from senior quarterback Clay Hayden. One of their classmates, James Cusick, also caught a TD pass from Fryman and turned a punt attempt into a 51-yard scoring run. Senior running back Chase Flaherty did his part with a 28-yard touchdown run.
