Chad Miller of Ogemaw Heights named Detroit Lions’ Coach of the Week
DETROIT — The Detroit Lions have named Chad Miller of West Branch Ogemaw Heights High School the week five recipient of the 2024 High School Football Coach of the Week Program. Miller’s Falcons defeated Jack Pine Conference foe Clare 41-34 to advance to 5-0 for the first time since 2007. St. Francis soccer cruises to CHSL Bishop championship
ROYAL OAK, Mich. — In its second season in the Catholic High School League, St. Francis de Sales soccer claimed the conference's Bishop championship Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over Macomb Lutheran North at Royal Oak Shrine High School. St. Francis (9-1-2) scored twice in the first half and added another early in the second half. “There are a lot of great clubs, high schools, and players here in southeast Michigan, but we have had confidence in what we are doing,” St. Francis coach Michael Kern said. “Hard work continues to pay off.” (Michigan Soccer Network)
Washington Township High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Honor to induct four new members
The Washington Township High School Department of Athletics will induct four new members into its Athletic Coaches Hall of Honor during a ceremony on Oct. 10.
