Local AHAP 4th Graders Dive into Sustainability with Cybertruck Tour
4th graders in the Academically High Aptitude Program (AHAP) received a visit from Joe Costantino and Donovan Hunt who are leaders at local Tesla dealerships, for a full tour of the new Cybertruck. This was a culminating activity of the students' year-long study of Sustainability, where one unit focused on the history of electric cars back to the 1800's. Stony Brook University appoints Kevin H. Gardner as Vice President for Research
Stony Brook University announced today that Kevin H. Gardner, PhD, former Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Louisville, has been appointed Vice President for Research. Dr. Gardner will report to university President Maurie McInnis and is expected to join Stony Brook on August 1, 2024.
