Gov. Kristi Noem declares disaster in counties impacted by December storms
Gov. Kristi Noem signed an executive order declaring a disaster in counties impacted by severe winter weather storms in December. Those counties include, Bennett, Brookings, Clark, Day, Deuel, Hamlin, Jackson, Jones, Kingsbury, Mellette, Oglala Lakota, Potter, Roberts, Stanley, Todd and Tripp. An estimated $2.4 million in qualifying costs were reported as part of damage from the storms.
