DO YOU KNOW HIM? Police searching for person of interest in Fruitport noxious gas incident, theft
FRUITPORT, Mich. — Police are working to identify a person of interest who may be connected to a noxious gas and shoplifting incident at a Fruitport Meijer. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at the Meijer on Harvey Street. Police responded to reports of a noxious gas inside the store. Officers noticed a "small gaseous cloud" that reportedly smelled like chlorine in the center of the store when they arrived.
Harley driver killed after semi fails to stop at stop sign, Antrim Co. deputies say
ANTRIM COUNTY - On Sept. 23 at 12:29 p.m., the Antrim County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash on Alden Highway at Bailey Road in Custer Township. A 54-year-old Mancelona man was traveling east on Alden Highway on his 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the Harley struck the side of a southbound semi-truck trailer that was being driven by a 61-year-old Wyoming, Michigan, man, deputies said. Officials said the semi-truck failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Bailey Road and Alden Highway and drove into the path of the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet, deputies said. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured, and deputies said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Former student in custody after allegedly making threat toward Mona Shores High School
NORTON SHORES, Mich. — A teen is in custody after allegedly making a threat toward Mona Shores High School, according to officers with the Norton Shores Police Department. The threat was reportedly received at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers began investigating the threat and determined it was made by a former Mona Shores student. That student now attends Grand Haven High School, according to officers.
