Salina city manager appoints new city prosecutor
City Manager Mike Schrage announced Monday, April 29 that the city will appoint W. Brad Sutton as the new City Prosecutor. Sutton’s career includes nearly 26 years of experience as an attorney. He has served as Assistant County Attorney for Saline County since 2015, along with previous experience with the State of Kansas and also as a privately contracted attorney enforcing child support. He holds bachelors and juris doctorate degrees from Washburn University.
Public Hearing on Emmanuel Foursquare Church's Zoning Change Proposal Set for May 7
The Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing to review application #Z24-2. This application was submitted by Pastor Blaine Herron for Emmanuel Foursquare Church. The church seeks to change its zoning district classification from R-1 (Single-Family Residential) to PC-3 (Planned Shopping Center). This change would allow for more uses and additional sign allowances.

Salina Public Works to Begin Pavement Repairs on East Wilson Street; Traffic Restrictions Apply
Beginning Friday April 12, the City of Salina Public Works Department will be working on replacing sections of pavement on East Wilson Street between Kenison Road and Sunrise Drive.
