Cha-Ching! Winning Lotto Ticket Sold At This Hewlett Store
Time to check your tickets. A card shop in Hewlett sold a prize-winning Take 5 lottery ticket for the Saturday, May 18 drawing, New York Lottery officials announced. The ticket, worth $35,550.50, was purchased at Meet Cards & Gifts, located at 1753 Peninsula Boulevard. It was part of the Take 5 evening drawing.
A Boris & Horton Location, NYC’s First Dog-Friendly Café, Closes At The End Of This May
NYC’s first-ever dog-friendly café, with locations both in East Village and Williamsburg, announced this past February that they’d be shutting their doors for good after a six year run. And after announcing just two weeks later they’d be remaining open after all thanks to a fundraiser that raised $250,000, the café has once again announced that they’ll be closing at the end of this May. But this time not all hope is lost! Thankfully, only the café’s Williamsburg location will close. So while Brooklynites will now have to travel a bit further to grab a coffee and treat with their pup, the East Village location will remain open. In an Instagram post they stated:
Bronx Deli Sells Winning $30K Ticket in TAKE 5 Drawing
BRONX, NY – A lucky lottery player has hit the jackpot with a top-prize TAKE 5 ticket sold in the Bronx, the New York Lottery announced today. The winning ticket, valued at $30,196.50, was purchased at Akram Deli & Grocery located at 4192 White Plains Rd. The winning draw took place on the evening of May 19. TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a pool of 1 to 39 and drawings are televised twice daily at 2:30 PM and 10:30 PM. Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
