Emma McLeish, a junior at Franklin College, received the American Red Cross Lifesaving Award for Professional Responders. She was recognized for her effective response in two emergencies in 2023. McLeish, an exercise science student, aims to work in the medical field.

In a recent game between Bristol Township middle schools, Armstrong Middle School defeated Franklin Middle School with a final score of 8-7. This was the second annual game between the two schools, resulting in a close one-run win for Armstrong.
Franklin College Senior Shines as Runner-Up in Statewide Historical Research Award
Franklin College senior Josie Lyons was recently named the runner-up for the Bennett-Tinsley Award. This statewide award supports undergraduate research and writing in history. Lyons' paper on the American Woman Suffrage Movement in Indiana focused on the contributions of female college students. She was recognized at the annual Indiana Association of Historians meeting in early April.
