Inside Louisville's 1865 Italian-style farmhouse and historic Montessori school
A Louisville family is parting with the 1865 farmhouse and private school it owned for more than a half-century in the Hayfield Dundee neighborhood. The 2.5 acre property, listed for sale at $2.5 million, hosts the Hayfield Montessori School, which will be closing its doors for the final time this summer. Though small, the school was owned by the same family dating back to its inception in 1967. Principal Aline Abell is the daughter of the school's founders, Leo and Monique Denoncourt.
