OPINION: SE Texas needs more housing of all types
The affordable apartment complexes proposed for Beaumont and the Diamond D ranches in Jefferson County are two completely different kinds of housing. But Southeast Texas needs more places of all kinds for people to live in, and both would be welcome.
Diamond D Ranch braces for the boom
AUMONT — Mike Doguet’s Diamond D Ranch subdivision got approval from the Jefferson County Commissioners Court for Plat 7, the final plat in the first phase of development. After review by the city of Beaumont’s Planning and Zoning department and the Jefferson County Engineers, the court specifically approved property on blocks six and seven, lots 6-23 and 11-28, respectively.
