2025 Indiana edge prospect includes Vols in top eight
2025 edge prospect Mariyon Dye announced his top eight schools, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue are Dye’s top eight schools. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound four-star edge prospect is from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana. Dye ranks as the No. 173 prospect in the class of 2025. He also ranks as the No. 16 edge prospect and No. 3 player in Indiana, according to 247Sports. Dye will officially visit Tennessee on June 21. He will also officially visit Purdue on May 31, Georgia on June 7, Ohio State on June 14 and Florida State on June 18. Tennessee offered Dye a scholarship on July 29, 2023. USA Basketball Junior National Team U18 Training Camp Roster Breakdown
Colorado Springs, Colorado – USA Basketball invited 30 of the nation’s top players to compete for their Junior National U18 Team. The Training Camp begins on May 23 at the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. The association will then narrow the team down, on-site, to the final 12-member team before departing for this summer’s event.
Weather affects high school softball sectional openers across South Bend area Monday
The severe weather that rolled through the South Bend area Monday led to several high school softball sectionals having its scheduled altered. At Newton Park, the Class 3A, Sectional 19 tournament played three innings before being stopped, with Jimtown leading Clay, 8-0. The teams will resume the game at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with New Prairie vs. South Bend Riley being played immediately following the conclusion of the first game. Tuesday’s scheduled semifinals have been pushed to Wednesday, with the title game still set for Thursday.
