Chargers Spring Sports Teams Sweep Division Championships
SPOTSWOOD, NJ - For the second straight spring athletic season, Spotswood High School spring sports teams have won their respective Greater Middlesex Conference Division titles. It was back-to-back division titles for the Chargers baseball, golf, softball and boys tennis teams. For the Chargers' softball program, it was the third consecutive division title. Staten Island stays on winning path as homers lead to 12-7 victory
YORK, Pa. -- The Staten Island FerryHawks are back in first place after hitting their way to a 12-7 victory over the York Revolution at WellSpan Park on Sunday. It was another strong offensive performance for Staten Island. Robert Brooks’ two-homer, five-RBI performance led the way for the FerryHawks. Ben Norman’s bat stayed hot, going 3 for 5 with two RBI. PLAINFIELD, NJ — Many of Plainfield's walkers and runners will have to find a new place to work out between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends in Plainfield, according to an announcement today by the Plainfield Public Schools district. MADISON, NJ - The No. 7 seed Madison boys lacrosse team defeated No. 10 Woodstown 15-4 on Saturday afternoon. The Dodgers advance to face No. 2 seed Rumson-Fair Haven in the Quarterfinals on Wednesday May 29. Madison scored six goals in the first half and kept the pressure going in the second half. James Fox led Madison with four goals and two assists. Matt Spagnoleeti added three goals and three assists, Matt Lutz added three goals and four assists and Joaquin Soler added three goals.
