Eagle has landed in Wagram
An eagle was spotted hanging around the Wagram area. Shown is an image taken by Martin Chavis, who spotted the eagle on Old Wire Road near Salley McNair Road. The eagle was again spotted weeks later at the crossroads of North Turnpike and Hill Creek road.
Sandhills Community College to Replace Deteriorating Dougherty Sculpture with New Installation Honoring Retired Director
Sandhills Community College (SCC) has decided to remove the stick sculpture, 'What Goes Around Comes Around,' installed by artist Patrick Dougherty in 2021. The sculpture, in the college's Horticultural Gardens, has been popular among visitors. However, due to signs of deterioration and safety concerns, it will be taken down.
