Hampton Roads faces lifeguard shortage
NORFOLK, Va. — David McCauley, the Director of Hampton Parks and Recreation Dept. says they have less than a dozen lifeguards currently signed up. "We have posted flyers to apply for both the certification and the job at all of our community and neighborhood centers. We have also advertised on social media, peach jar for high schools, and have shared this information with other localities within the Hampton Roads Region," McCauley notes in an email.
