Updated: Two Juveniles in Custody in Connection with Shooting in Council Bluffs
(Council Bluffs) Two 16-year-old males are in custody in connection with the October 17th shooting of a 14-year-old in Council Bluffs. According to Police, after receiving several tips from citizens, the suspects in this case were identified Friday afternoon. Officers were able to take two 16-year-old males into custody without incident last night (Friday, October 18th) at approximately 10:30 pm. Both suspects are Council Bluffs residents. The two suspects face charges of two Counts of Attempted Murder and Robbery 1st Degree.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report
(Red Oak) On Thursday, Montgomery County Deputies arrested one person on a warrant for forgery and another for assault. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call to Cubbies in Red Oak for a domestic assault. During the investigation, authorities arrested 46-year-old Jill Renee Coddington of Red Oak for domestic assault. Sheriff’s deputies transported Coddington to the Montgomery County Jail and held her on no bond.
Woman accused of fleeing Le Sueur police in stolen vehicle
An Iowa woman is accused of fleeing police in a chase exceeding 100 miles per hour while driving a stolen vehicle. Amanda Jean Vanpelt, 38, of Council Bluffs, is charged with three felonies for motor vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
