Scott says Vermont lawmakers don’t factor in ‘practical realities’ of new legislation
Governor Phil Scott expressed concern Wednesday that lawmakers may have unrealistic expectations of what state agencies can do with the resources they have available. He asked members of the legislature to be aware of the position that some legislation can put state employees in, and to account for the amount of funding and time necessary to put bills into action. The Governor is not the only one who feels this way. Julie Moore, Secretary of the Agency of Natural Resources agreed with Scott, and said that several pieces of legislation hit her agency hard this session.
