Girls soccer: United blanked by Baraboo, Sparta
It was a rough week for the United girls’ soccer team, as opponents outscored them 15-0. Baraboo blanked the Portage/Poynette co-op 8-0 on Tuesday, April 9, as Thunderbirds’ star Caitlyn Frank collected three goals and two assists. In net for United, goalkeeper Abigail Sanderson made seven saves. Portage/Poynette traveled to Sparta on Friday, losing 7-0. Maddie Schauf finished with four goals and two assists to pace Sparta, as Sofia Aguilar made 15 saves for United, now 0-3 overall and 0-1 in Badger Small Conference play.
