Laurel Ridge Community College Veterans Receive Free Laptops from State Program
The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) has initiated a program to provide free laptops to veterans and their spouses at Laurel Ridge Community College. This is a collaboration with the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and Tech for Troops. The plan is to distribute 20 laptops at each of the 23 colleges in the VCCS. The laptops are not loans, but gifts for the veterans to keep.
