The Sisseton Redmen boys basketball team fell to the Webster Bearcats 42-56 in a Northeast Conference match-up held at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton on Friday, Jan. 20. Both teams got off to a slow start, with Sisseton scoring only 4 points in the first quarter and Webster only 9 points. Webster took control in the second quarter, jumping out to a 27-17 lead at half-time, and never looked back as they went on to a 56-42 victory. The Sisseton Redmen boys basketball team fell to the Waubay/Summit Mustangs 26-57 on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Ben Reifel Gym in Sisseton. The Mustangs jumped out ahead to a 13-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, and extended the lead to 32-17 at half-time. Jackson Wohlleber, Allison Bauer, Ava Breske, Madison Zirbel, Madelyn Hinkelman, and Jillian Bauer were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) on October 6 in Summit. All six are juniors at Summit High School. A candlelit ceremony was hosted by the senior members to welcome the inductees and their families. A dessert buffet was served after the ceremony.
