The Mountain Home High School track teams went to Alma on Wednesday and finished second in the 5A-West Conference Meet. Russellville was crowned the champions on both sides. For the Lady Bombers, Ali Czanstkowski won the long jump and ended up second in the 100-meter hurdles and fifth in the high jump, Merritt McConnell took third place in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, Micayla Magis finished third in the discus, Bailey Ritenburg was third in the 800-meter run, Pixie Bolick ended up third in the 300-meter hurdles and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, Mackenzi Clark took fourth place in the 400-meter dash, Jada Johnson finished fourth in the 200-meter dash, Olivia McCoy was fifth in the pole vault, Kori Scroggins ended up fifth in the discus, Malia Beshears took fifth place in the 1600-meter run, and Cisily Goettler finished fifth in the 3200-meter run. Mountain Home’s team of McConnell, Jada Johnson, Czanstkowski and Camilla Johnson won the 4×200-meter relay; Clark, Anna McCarn, Bolick and Ritenburg were third in the 4×400-meter relay; and Goettler, Erin Smith, Jamie Chandler and Ritenburg ended up third in the 4×800-meter relay.
