Man found guilty in 2023 fire that destroyed May Apartments in Southwest Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was found guilty on Wednesday for starting a large fire that destroyed the May Apartments near downtown Portland in May 2023. Garrett Repp faced 55 counts, including first-degree arson, recklessly endangering another person, first-degree animal abuse and first-degree criminal mischief. The jury determined he was guilty on all counts except for one of the animal abuse charges.
Weakening Front to Bring Light Rain and Cooler Temperatures to the Pacific Northwest
A weakening front is set to make its way onshore today, bringing a return of clouds and spotty drizzle or light rain to the coast, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.
