Ramen Noodle Bake: A Fun Twist on a Classic Dish

Looking for a fresh spin on lasagna? This ramen noodle bake combines the comfort of lasagna with the fun, satisfying crunch of ramen noodles. It’s quick to prepare, packed with cheesy goodness, and perfect for feeding a small crowd.

Plus, with easy ingredient swaps and a few simple steps, this dish is ideal for busy weeknights when you need something filling and flavorful without all the fuss.

    Servings: 4
    Prep Time: 8 minutes
    Cook Time: 30 minutes

    Ingredients:

    • 4 packs of ramen noodles (flavor packets discarded)
    • 4 cups marinara or your favorite tomato sauce, divided
    • 2 cups grated Romano cheese, divided
    • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly coat an 8x8 casserole dish with cooking spray. Place the dish on a baking sheet for easy handling and to catch any drips.
    2. Break each ramen noodle square in half horizontally to fit into the pan.
    3. Layer half of the noodles at the bottom of the dish. Pour 2 cups of tomato sauce over the noodles and sprinkle 1 cup of Romano cheese followed by 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
    4. Add another layer of ramen noodles, then top with the remaining tomato sauce, Romano, and Monterey Jack cheese.
    5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is golden and melted. Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy, ramen-filled goodness.

    Substitutions:

    • Swap out Romano cheese for Pecorino or Parmesan for a different flavor profile.
    • Substitute Monterey Jack with cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese blend.
    • Add cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, or sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to make it heartier.

    Storage Directions:

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven until warmed through. This dish also freezes well—just wrap it tightly in foil and freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven directly from frozen at 350°F for 35-40 minutes.
