    Ingredients:

    • 1 large loaf of French bread, sliced
    • 6 eggs
    • 2 ½ cups whole milk
    • ⅓ cup white sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 (15 oz) cans of peach slices, drained
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup heavy cream

    Directions:

    1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish generously.
    2. Slice the bread into thirds and tightly pack them in the baking dish.
    3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix until fully blended.
    4. Pour the mixture over the bread, making sure each piece is soaked.
    5. Arrange the peach slices evenly across the top and sprinkle brown sugar generously.
    6. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors meld.
    7. The next morning, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the dish from the fridge, let it rest for a few minutes, then drizzle the cream over the top.
    8. Bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes, or until golden brown and the custard has set.

    Substitutions:

    • Bread: Switch out French bread for brioche or even sourdough for an interesting twist.
    • Milk: You can swap whole milk for a dairy-free option like oat or coconut milk to make it more inclusive.
    • Fruit: Don’t have peaches? Fresh or frozen berries, apples, or pears work just as well and give it a fresh spin.

    Storage:

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop individual servings in the microwave or bake in the oven until warmed through. If you want to freeze it, wrap the dish in foil after baking and freeze for up to a month. When ready to enjoy, thaw it overnight in the fridge and reheat in the oven.

This make-ahead breakfast dish is a crowd-pleaser, perfect for feeding a hungry group while keeping your mornings laid-back!
