Reminder: Next Lynnwood Meet Me at the Park event at Daleway Park July 16
The second of three Meet Me at the Park events sponsored by the City of Lynnwood is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at Daleway Park, 19015 64th Ave. W. Local nonprofit agencies will visit Lynnwood parks across the city this summer to provide information about their no-cost or low-cost services, resources and programs. The park visits will have free, fun activities for kids. Due to parking constraints, event organizers encourage attendees to walk or bike.
Union Gap Police ask public to 'be vigilant' after surplus patrol car stolen
UNION GAP, Wash. -- The Union Gap Police Department is looking for a stolen decommissioned patrol SUV. According to UGPD, the silver 2017 Ford Explorer was stolen between the night of July 13 and the early hours of July 14 from the 2600 block of Main Street in Union Gap after being bought by a local business at an auction. The SUV is no longer a UGPD patrol car and has no police markings other than fully functioning emergency equipment and push bars.

To mirror the Mariners only doing half their job today, I will only do half my job, and tell you about Logan Gilbert’s outing while ignoring the performance of the offense, who were no-hit by Carson Fulmer through five innings, who punched out seven, all of which was season highs because Mariners offense and mediocre pitchers having career days, name a more excruciating duo. (The offense did have the bases loaded without a hit in the fifth and two outs, bouncing Fulmer, but Dylan Moore popped up a 2-1 pitch from Hunter Strickland to quell the threat.) But let us set that aside and only deal with them when we must, and instead focus on the bright spot of today’s game: another dominant performance by Logan Gilbert.

Summer STEAM at the U.S. Naval Undersea Museum
Summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) is the U.S. Naval Undersea Museum’s free, weekly community programming hosted on Wednesdays, 4th of July through Labor Day. The program targets K-12 students and their caregivers. The intent is to not only provide an entry point for the public to learn about the museum’s artifacts and exhibits, but to also engage children with their caregivers in active learning and exploration; inspire creative thinking and problem solving; and slow learning loss that often accompanies summer breaks. Since Summer STEAM was introduced in 2014, the program has engaged about 1,000 participants each season.
