SAN MARCOS, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- A law enforcement search of the San Marcos High School campus found "no active threat" Tuesday afternoon, after an anonymous threat was received by phone and prompted a "secure" lockdown of the campus.

District officials issued that lockdown just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, calling it a "precaution" while officers searched the campus. San Marcos Police Department officials said its officers were on the campus, investigating the reported threat.

SMCISD officials said students that were on campus would be held until the campus was fully cleared by police. The district said during the lockdown that all students and staff were accounted for as the campus followed the district's safety protocols, officials said.
