Arctic Thunder Air Show returns to JBER this weekend
The weather looks favorable for the Arctic Thunder Open House and air show at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Past events have brought in as many as 300,000 visitors to the base to see over 40 static displays across 30 acres, with aircraft and other inventory from the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Secret. There will be at least seven international partners taking part in some capacity, and seven hours of flying demonstrations, including six military aerial demonstrations, eight civilian aerial demonstrations and joint force demonstrations.
