‘Once in a lifetime’ photo captures moment double rainbow struck by lightning

An incredible 'once in a lifetime' photo captures the moment a double rainbow was hit by lightning.

Evie-Mae Parkinson, 19, snapped the amazing image during a thunder storm on Sunday (July 7).

She says she went outside to look at the rain in Dereham, Norfolk, England and started taking photos of the rainbow - when she realized she took a photo of the lighting striking it.

Evie-May says capturing a photo like this is 'very rare' and 'a once in a lifetime photo' to take.

She said: "I spotted the double rainbow and started taking photos of that and it was kind of the perfect timing with the lightning in it.

"It was one of the best photos I've ever captured.

"It was very rare - it's almost a once-in-a-lifetime photo to get, especially when it's in the middle of the photo."
