A festival-goer tent was blown through the air as 60mph winds hit the UK.

The video was filmed on August 23 at 7:30 am at Bramham Park, Leeds.

In the footage, a tent is flying through the air before falling to the ground.

Many Leeds festival-goers described Friday as the "worst day ever" after 60mph winds battered the festival site - with many struggling to keep their tents on the ground.

The wind was so bad on Friday that the BBC Radio 1, Aux and Chevron stages were shut down after fences fell down causing mayhem.

In an update, Reading and Leeds Festival said: "Unfortunately, the health and safety team have now confirmed that we will not be able to use the Radio 1 tent and stage tomorrow or Sunday.

"We are devastated for you and of course the artists that were eager to play.

"That is the same for the Aux stage too. Mother nature has played her part."
