1 killed, 1 injured in Talladega shooting

TALLADEGA, Ala. ( WIAT ) — One man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting in Talladega over the weekend.

According to Talladega Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 1600 block of Old Schocco Road around 2:19 a.m. on Saturday. Police found a man and a woman shot at the location and transported them to Citizen’s Baptist Medical Center for treatment.

Detectives with the department later learned the man, identified as 34-year-old Dahkari A. Wilson, died from his injuries.

Police say the investigation into the shooting continues and no further information will be released.
